This research work will focus on evaluating the potential of enriched mealworms as a dietary supplement for African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). Specifically, the research aims to investigate the dietary enrichment of mealworms, particularly their omega-3 fatty acid content, and the effects of partially replacing fishmeal (FM) and fish oil (FO) with mealworm meal in catfish diets. Key areas of study include the impact of this dietary modification on digestibility, production parameters, and changes in the fish microbiota and meat quality. The results of this research will provide valuable insights into improving the fatty acid profile of mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) and their role in enhancing fish health and performance.
