témavezetés leírása
Organic food is more preferred over inorganic food among the consumers in all over the world. The main reason for the increased demand for organic food is the perception that these are safe and better quality food products than nonorganic food. Moreover, organic farming has a positive impact on the environment. Nevertheless, the available data demonstrates that organic food consumption is still very low compared to nonorganic food. These situations evoke the need to study consumer behavior, especially the consumers'' intention and attitude to purchase organic food. Furthermore, the available data on the consumers'' attitude and intention to consume organic food have shown contradictory results. The studies have concluded that the consumer attitude can be measured using the theory of planned behavior (TPB). This theory makes it possible to convincingly explain consumer food choice behavior and the consumption of organic food. During the research we will examine the consumer attitude towards organic food in a developing country (Iraq) to determine different factors that influence consumer attitude towards organic food and to explore the relationship between consumer attitude and purchase intention. We will use a special questionnaire combine attitude questions and discrete choice experiment technics. After collecting the answers we can build a hybrid choice models with latent factors to analyse different aspects of the consumers according to the organic food buying intentions.
