témavezetés leírása
The research on low-dimensional surface nanostructures has been rapidly increasing in the past years, partly due to potential applications such as sensing, photovoltaics or photonics. Nanodots, 2D materials, Bragg superlattices, protein filaments, plasmonic or porous layers will be prepared for sensing at solid-liquid or solid-gas interfaces. Optical flow cell configurations will be developed to optimize the parameters of illumination and detection including the wavelength range, the angle of incidence and polarization. Adsorption process of test molecules (albumin, fibrinogen, flagellar filaments), gases and organic vapor (volatile organic compounds) will be studied. The optical response of the structure as well as the adsorption process will be modeled to understand the sensing mechanisms. The candidate can focus on sample preparation, optical design or modeling, depending on the interests and capabilities. Further information: http://www.ellipsometry.hu
