ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) at the CERN LHC is dedicated to probe the strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities. Since heavy-flavor quarks (charm & bottom) are produced early and they survive throughout the later stages of the reaction, they provide a unique opportunity to study the non-perturbative regime of QCD. The upcoming LHC Run 3 data taking phase with increased luminosity and upgraded detectors will bring an opportunity to measure the production and properties of heavy-flavor with an unprecedented precision. The PhD candidate is expected to contribute to the field with original research in investigating charmed-baryon or meson correlations and jet structures both with phenomenological methods and in data. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the preparations and detector operation duties for the ALICE Run-3 period.
