The gauge/gravity duality states an equivalence between gravity on a curved space and quantum gauge theories defined on the boundary of these spaces. This duality provides a powerful tool to study strongly interacting systems via the dual weakly coupled string/gravitational theory. The doctoral project is to investigate further this duality.
