Agricultural sustainability and food security are two important global issues of the 21st century as the world population continues to increase. One of the most challenging issues is to enhance soil fertility in order to decrease environmental harm caused by chemical fertilizers. Organic fertilizers, made from biodegradable agricultural and market waste, provide a sustainable solution to this situation. This research explores converting cocoa husks, poultry waste, and market waste into fertilizers with a high percentage of organic fertilizers using biocomposting. It also explores nutrient analysis, organic fertilizer benefits, and farmers’ adoption perspective. The blending of these waste products in organic fertilizer development can not only relieve the burden of managing waste material but may also help develop sustainable agricultural methods. This study offers detailed consideration of the topic and complements it with facts, scientific knowledge, and pragmatic considerations. To design and review a successful biocomposting process for the conversion of cocoa husks, poultry waste, and market waste into excellent organic fertilizers, to examine their nutrient profile and quality, as well as to evaluate the factors affecting the farmers’ adoption of the newly processed organic fertilizers. The objectives are to assess the agronomic efficiency of the biocompost by measuring its effect on soil fertility and crop growth, both in a laboratory environment and in natural fields and identify the major socio-economic and institutional factors which determine the consumption and sustainable use of organic fertilizers among farmers.
