The General Method is a modern computer-based method for designing steel structures against buckling. The method is based on linear buckling analysis (LBA). The method has recently been generalized, so its validity extends to structural cases with arbitrary geometry, loading, and support systems. However, the method has not yet been fully validated. The aim of the research is to validate the new method for steel structural frames.
