Losses in electric drives can be reduced not only through the hardware design of electric motors and power electronics, but also through the use of modern control methods. The aim of the research is to extend the traditional space vector models of AC motors to describe electrical losses more accurately and to develop optimal control based on the extended model to minimize losses. A further goal is to validate the research results, which requires the development of an experimental setup.
