Transdermal drug delivery is a major challenge in pharmaceutical technology due to the barrier function of the stratum corneum and the inadequate physicochemical properties of the active ingredients. The aim of the research is to investigate innovative dermal formulations and to study the mechanisms of different penetration enhancing methods.
