The aim of the research is to study how quantitative empirical data extracted from corpora or captured in word embeddings influence various lexicographical subtasks: headword inclusion, definition writing, the delineation and ordering of senses, finding and documenting collocations, selecting illustrative examples, etc. Our PhD candidate is expected to contribute to the theory and practice of lexicography; the practical contribution should be aimed at the English and/or the Hungarian languages.
