The aim of PhD research to apply state-of-the-art approaches and procedures to design and create virtual chemical libraries for drug discovery starting from the currently purchasable / accessible chemical space. In particular, the aim of study to identify the most effective physicochemical property and substructural filters to exclude compounds with high chance of ADMET issues and/or screening assay interferences. The applicability of these virtual sets for drug discovery will be tested by experimental screening against relevant drug targets. The quality and drug-likeness of the identified hits will be analysed in detail.
