Chemometric is the application of multivariate statistics on chemical data. Nowadays, we might refer it, as well, as the basics of machine learning in chemistry. The applicant will take part in chemometric methodology research connected to some new aspects of modelling, e.g., double descent in medium large datasets, the correct use of measurement uncertainty in modelling, calculation methods of intercept in linear models, and interpretation of machine learning models on chemistry. The PhD student works with computers using different chemometric software and Python, but the knowledge of them is not prerequisite.
