We now understand that both written and oral sources from the past played an active role in shaping the realities of their time. The authors of these sources not only reflected the conditions of their era but also influenced and conveyed them through narrative communications. This is particularly evident in the press. The research topic at hand aims to explore how the press represents the teaching profession, with a special focus on press debates, as they offer insightful perspectives on the prevailing views of the chosen era.
