The topic is related to sports biomechanics and mainly concentrates on the lower limb biomechanics. Specifically, the PhD student should research centers around the integration of personalized musculoskeletal model creation with data from inertial sensors, employing machine learning techniques for data mining in the context of specific movements. Basically, it is needed to use the VICON system to capture kinematic data (hip, knee, ankle) together with a force platform and pressure measurement system. In the process of processing the data, the student should use custom Python and Matlab programs to filter noise and normalize. It is planned to employ imaging techniques and finite element analysis for constructing a personalized model of the human skeleton. It is intended to use the inertial sensors and deep neural network models which forecast and categorize motion in authentic outdoor settings. Employed to authentically portray the specific behavior of the ACL or other lower extremity muscles of the knee during athletes'' training in outdoor settings.

Research purposes:
1. Building a finite element model below the knee
2. Validating the FE model constructed
3. Disseminating the results (Publishing 2-3 high-impact SCI papers, participating in 2-3 international academic conferences as well as doing presentations.)
