témakiírás leírása
The project focuses on advancing the understanding of particulate and gaseous emissions from combustion engines using a state-of-the-art test bench and customized photoacoustic spectroscopy instrumentation. The project will involve real-time characterization of black carbon (BC) and organic carbon (OC) in diesel particulate matter (DPM) across various engine conditions and fuel compositions, aiming to establish correlations between fuel composition, combustion performance, and environmental effects. Key objectives include optimizing the integrated measurement infrastructure for comprehensive exhaust analysis and demonstrating its applicability in developing fuel characterization and engine technologies. The candidate will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge emission technologies, contributing to both fundamental research and practical solutions for emission-based fuel development. Students with a background in Physics, optical spectroscopy, or environmental science and related fields are encouraged to apply.
