Combustion, pyrolysis and gasification are classified at the same level as the waste pyramid, but the emissions of these technologies are far from the same. PhD research aims to investigate these energy recovery technologies and to determine pollutant emissions.
The PhD student will perform combustion, gasification and pyrolysis experiments under laboratory conditions using a variety of homogeneous and mixed wastes. By optimally setting the technological parameters, it is possible to recover energy in a less polluting and more sustainable way.
