The primary objective is to examine the present state of workplace incivility, and its related consequences on employee attitude in corporate workplaces dealing with marketing, financial, and customer support services. More specifically, the following questions need to be addressed: what are the typical uncivil behaviors, what factors determine such behaviors, how these behaviors influence other variables like motivation, commitment, citizenship behavior, and performance? In order to examine these phenomena the specific aims are: to recognize different types of workplace incivility and their sources; to determine the factor responsible for uncivil behaviors; and to analyze the relationship of workplace incivility with work related variables such as, motivation, commitment, citizenship behavior, and performance.
