Description of the research topic:

The different space-structures representing federalism and local self-governance came into lime-light in Western Europe in the 1970s and in Central Europe in 1990s after the changes of political system in connection with the processes of democratization. The research work within this theme aimes at comparative analyses of these excessively complicated and many-sided issues.
