A gyorsan növő fás szárú növények biomasszája megújuló energiaforrásunk. A növények poliploidizációjával gyorsabban növekvő, erőteljesebb egyedeket nyerünk. A projekt célja tetraploid fűzfa variánsok előállítása mikrotubulusokhoz kapcsolódó fehérjéket kódoló gének átmeneti csendesítésével.
