Description of the research topic:
The subject of the doctoral dissertation may include the analysis of cultural products existing in various forms. This can mean the investigation of adaptations from written narratives into motion picture, but also the analysis of texts intended for series (such as television series, film series) or the diffusion of a narrative created in a certain medium), as well as the examination of those contemporary transmediatic textual universes established in terms of media convergence that are based not on adaptation but on the expansive logic of the fictional world created by more and equal media. In the case of the last, it is particularly important to concentrate on the active, universe-building function of recipients (fan fiction).
