Description of the research topic:

Possible areas of research include the comparative analysis of new media products, primarily, but not exclusively based on the logic of hypertextuality. The topic covers all genres of video games: from FPS or platform games with fixed narrative structures through open world adventure games to MMORPG or “battle royal” games, which have little or no traditional plotline. Furthermore, the analysis of written texts that follow similar, hypertextual structure is also possible as a topic for doctoral research: including Fighting Fantasy-like, role-playing gamebooks or postmodern literary pieces.
