Description of the research topic:

Innovative high-growth companies in the biotechnology industry are key players for sustainable economic development. However, financing them in the early stages of growth is difficult, that is why venture capital financing plays an important role in bridging the information and capital gap. The research aims to develop an optimal financing model adapted to the life cycle of European biotechnology companies, taking into account the difficulties of validating biotechnology innovations, the knowledge transfer potential and the importance of patents. The research will include the analysis of European databases and the identification of governmental instruments in European countries.
