Description of the research topic:

In public education (Hungary), the NAT requires everyone to have a basic knowledge of programming, which is taught first in primary school. The question is which language tools to choose for secondary school, after knowing graphical or block languages. For pupils with different interests, abilities and goals, it is the teacher's responsibility to make the best choice in the given situation. The choice of programming language, by weighing these different aspects, has a strong influence on the achievement of the desired goal. In this course we will learn about these characteristics, current findings in the literature and related research areas. It is important that, having become familiar with the "state of the art", the student should be able to carry out comparative analyses, to formulate his/her own opinion and to support it. Design curricula based on own ideas
