Description of the research topic:
The main objective of this project is the innovative synthesis and comprehensive characterization of high-quality perovskite nanocrystals, vital for advancing next-generation optoelectronic devices. The selected candidate will embark on a cutting-edge research journey to develop novel synthesis techniques that are not only efficient but also scalable, ensuring the large-scale production of perovskite nanocrystals. A significant part of the research will delve into the doping of these nanocrystals with specific ions. This process aims to substantially enhance their optical properties and stability, paving the way for their use in a wide range of applications, from solar cells to LED technologies. Additionally, the research will explore the synthesis of lead-free perovskite nanocrystals to address environmental and health concerns associated with lead-based materials.
