Description of the research topic:

Theorists consider István Bibó the most famous figure in 20th century Hungarian political history. His philosophical significance, his important role in the revolution of 1956 and his conceptual process have made him the most famous Hungarian political scientist of all time. The interpretation of István Bibó's life and writings can be explored in the following themes: the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, theory of law, international law, public administration, state theory and political history, with a special focus on the relationship of law to coercion and power.
