Description of the research topic:
The doctoral thesis focuses on the economics of sport, as interpreted by Andras (2015), which is suitable for urban, regional and national development. In this context, the research focuses on operational and business competitiveness at the micro, mezo or macro level, based on the three pillars being different economic systems, different operational models and different forms of internationalisation. In its functional approach, marketing and sport innovation are given a prominent place, with their triple dimension of business, social and sport-related aspects. In terms of sports economics, the thematic area covers professional sport and its five media criteria for spectacular sport, and youth development linked to talent management. The operational model focuses on the various competition systems and sporting events and the complex impact of these on the sporting scene.
Further requirements: Be committed and motivated to the subject area of sports economics, which should be underpinned by knowledge of sports management, methodology and the necessary sports science.
