Description of the research topic:

The PhD thesis investigates the applicability of supercritical chromatography (SFC) in preparative organic chemistry applications. Our aim is to improve the effective purification of various compounds and to demonstrate their applicability through examples. Of particular interest among the selected compounds is research aimed at the separation of certain antipodal chiral compounds from each other and their purification. We also aim to investigate the purification of substances where the desired product can only be obtained by rapid, efficient purification and rapid separation from the eluent following a chemical reaction. The process to be developed will be applicable, among others, to diagnostics containing radioisotopes. The incorporation of the radioisotope, which usually has a short half-life, into the molecule and its administration, i.e. before it is delivered to the patient, requires purification of the diagnostic agent. Here, too, the use of SFC offers a good solution, which we would like to develop and demonstrate in this topic.
