Description of the research topic:

The open science and FAIR principles endorse the increased use of research data repositories worldwide (e.g. Zenodo, figshare). In this research, the student will collect, organize and generalize data sharing practices in order to provide suggestions to further semantic interoperability for research data. Metadata schemes, thesauri, ontologies, data formats and data handling best practices may be proposed, investigated or improved by the student. It is possible to join the work of international organisations in this field.

Required language skills: English
Further requirements:
- Knowledge of metadata standards and practices
- Practice with RDF, OWL or Linked Data is an advantage
