Description of the research topic:

In recent decades, the role of entrepreneurship in economic growth has become increasingly accepted (Carree & Thurik, 2010; Hope, 2016; Meyer & Krüger, 2021), but its comprehensive analysis has also brought to the fore the framework conditions that can ensure a positive link between economic growth and entrepreneurship (Van Stel et al., 2004; Ács et al., 2008). As a result, several new approaches have emerged that capture this complexity, such as ecosystem models (Isenberg, 2011; World Economic Forum, 2013; Stam & Spigel, 2016; Szerb, 2017; Ács et al., 2018; Ács et al., 2017), institutional (Wennekers & Thurik, 1999; Ács et al., 2008; Zygmunt, 2018; 2020) and contextual approaches (Welter, 2011; Baker & Welter, 2018). Students interested in the subject may choose from the following areas:
• Systematising and modelling factors that affect business start-ups. Testing existing models, e.g. Ajzen's (1991) Theory of planned behaviour, Shapero and Sokol's Entrepreneurial Event model (1982), Bandura's social cognitive theory model (1977), or creating a model of his own is also possible.
• The potential impacts of higher education (entrepreneurship education) on entrepreneurial intentions and student entrepreneurial activity. Key models and international trends.
• The influence of other factors on entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process (such as the family business background, the impact of the environment on students' career plans, the influence of enterprise policy, cultural issues and other factors).
• Theoretical questions of the business process.
• Entrepreneurship and economic growth.
• The most important theoretical and practical issues of the internationalization of companies.
