Description of the research topic:

Fuglede conjectured that spectral sets and tiles coincide. The problem can be formulated for any locally compact group and the case of the Euclidean spaces is the most investigated. The 1 dimensional case leads to the investigation of finite abelian groups. The question is interesting for other finite groups as well and these have led us to problems in finite geometry.
