Description of the research topic:

Continuous electroencephalography (EEG) and electrocorticography (ECoG) monitoring is an invaluable tool in the evaluation of different brain injures (ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage etc) in patients. Future clinical work will aim to further elucidate the role of spreading depolarisations, the ictal activity and the ictal-interictal continuum in the development of brain injuries.
