Description of the research topic:

The phenological and physiological responses of plants to environmental changes (e.g. sprouting, flowering, defoliation, leaf fall, wilting, leaf drying) can be used to predict urban climate tolerance. This research focuses on a wide range of woody (tree, shrub) taxa, with a focus on climate trees and climate-adaptive species suitable for future urban afforestation, green space development and climate adaptation.
