Description of the research topic:
It made alcohols attractive for on-site hydrogen production by catalytic reaction. Among the other fuels, methanol is an interesting source of hydrogen because it is liquid under ambient conditions, has a relatively high H/C ratio, a low reforming temperature (200-300 °C) and can be produced from biomass. Catalyst development is aimed at achieving the lowest possible operating temperature.
