Description of the research topic:
The cultural geography is one of the most dynamically developing parts of geography, which deals with the interaction system of human culture with the geographical environment: outlines the spatial structure of the given cultural phenomenon, describes the determining factors of the described spatial structure, explores the internal interactions between the elements of the described space structure, and the impacts of the cultural phenomena on the geographic environment. The spectrum of cultural geographic research is wide-ranging (e.g. exploration of the cultural elements, technologies, innovations, linguistic, religious, ethnic structures, elements of high or common culture, traditions, customs and behavior). The subject as a course is part of the geographical training of almost all anglo american universities, but there are significant European and even Hungarian traditions.
