Description of the research topic:

Wood still the main material for many industries, these properties make it an easy to use element, with variable dimensions and for multiple functions.in nature, there are several types of trees and each type has different properties to the other.
Research questions of the study are the following:
a) In what extent the load of vibration is influencing the ultrastructure of wood (cell wall level)
b) How the moisture content is influencing the mechanical behaviour of wood?
c) How the dimensions (cross section) are influencing the vibrational behaviour of wood?
d) How the thermal treatment (steaming and dry thermal processes) are influencing the vibrational behaviour of wood?
e) What is the effect of the anisotropy?


Objectives /Aims
• determination of the influence of vibrations in the ultrastructure of wood.
• know the factors that contribute to the influence of vibrations in the wood structure.
• determination and proposal of a standard to have a vibration-resistant wood.
• know the impact of temperature and humidity to minimize the negative impact of vibration in mechanical properties
