Description of the research topic:

The proposed research aims to assess the impact of market regulations enacted at EU level and in Hungary in response to the global financial crisis, which have significantly reshaped the regulatory framework and competitiveness of the Hungarian market. The immediate social and economic consequences of the global financial crises have been cured meantime by national measures mostly, while the medium and long term effects on the financial market of such regulatory interventions in terms of costs and benefits remain unexplored. Thus, this field offers to PhD. students the possibility of gap filling research on a fast changing market, which pleads for methodological innovation able to capture the actors, factors and processes of the multilayer economic governance taking place within the EU.
