Description of the research topic:
The research addresses the role of natural observation and parallel analysis in the creative process. It proposes to study natural phenomena, systems and social models, to reinterpret existing worldviews and to experiment with new ones using artistic tools. The research might touch upon a number of fields and research areas, such as anthropology, animal studies, psychology or sociology. It addresses questions like ethical dilemmas of man’s co-existence with other species, the self-definition of humanity as opposed to these, attributing human characteristics to the natural environment and other species, as well as the effect of such representation on the image we form about ourselves and our environment, and how these affect personal and societal decisions. How can we dwell in our environment responsibly? How can we most usefully serve our sustainable presence with our creative activities?
