Description of the research topic:
While an in-depth analysis of a set of data from one single language can be highly valuable, studies that compare the properties of different languages, or different varieties of a single language, in the domain of one or more syntactic phenomena always hold the promise of contributing fundamental insight into the properties of Universal Grammar. Both macro- and microcomparative investigations are welcome.
