Description of the research topic:
One of major research topics of the Department of Mongol and Inner Asian Studies is the fieldwork among Mongolian and neighbouring nomadic people. Several dissertations have been written in this field. The current proposal aims to encourage candidates to write a field research based dissertation on aspects of the Inner Asian nomadic societies. Proposals on the connection between various ethnic groups, as the Mongols and Tuwas, or the Mongols and the Kazaks are welcomed.
