Description of the research topic:
In this research topic, the political and policy contexts of adult learning and education are put into the focus of examination and analysis. Referring to the political aspects, participation, performance and partnership-based actions of adult learners will be in the axis of our analysis, which are bound to the interests of international organisations like UNESCO and the OECD. As for the policy dimension, educational, social and employment policy focuses signal interrelated issues and, therefore, we turn our research to issues of competence and skills development combined with challenges of practice-based trends in order to describe a rather realistic picture upon the topic.
