Description of the research topic:

Using classical and modern integral geometry, convex geometry, and integral transformations, we consider the determination of geometric objects (or their functions and properties) from functions that represent various observations of these objects (usually appearing as integrals). The most important examples are the determination of convex bodies from some Steiner symmetrals (Hammer problem), and the determination of convex body by shadows (Aleksandrov theorem), but the subject includes among other the determination of curves from the number of its intersections with straight line (Steinhaus problem) and various generalizations of all these.
