Description of the research topic:

Our goal is a problem-oriented, comparative sociological examination and contextual analysis of those external and internal factors, which may present a real challenge (risk, threat or danger) for social stability and human security in the modern, developed liberal democracies; countries in various stages of democratization, and hybrid and authoritarian regimes
Risks related to human security can result from a variety of political, economic, cultural, legal, and social factors. Understanding and identifying what these 'visible' and ‘hidden’ risks are might be a critical starting point, and can help concerned authorities in the public and private sector to take measures to minimize the risk and to assess whether any actions may heighten risks faced.
Ultimately, identifying and understanding the root causes and nature of local conflicts, and the legal and administrative recourses available, will be key to the development of strategies for managing risk. Such assessments of risk should also consider the potential for future conflicts.
Applicable research methods: quantative and qualitative sociological research methods.

Expected results:
Identification of potential and actual challenges (risks, threats and dangers) to social stability and human security, extrapolation (prediction) of their probability of occurrence, and their possible prevention and prevention. defining the tools and methodology of their management.
