Description of the research topic:
An autonomous drone is an aircraft that has wireless remote control, eliminating the need for a pilot on board. The research plan shall include: Localization of Wireless Nodes with Ultrasound Transmitters based on Particle filter and Extended Kalman Filter using Quadcopter
Research agenda for the topic:
1) Literary research: International and national research history of autonomous drone with bibliographic data supported.
2) Determining the basic research character and originality of an autonomous drone.
3) Determining the expected theoretical significance of research.
4) Determining the expected practical significance of research, drone network.
5) Localization method of Wireless Nodes with ultrasound transsmiters the position of the ultrasonic generator – wireless sensor nodes in the area based on simultaneous localization and mapping with the use of a particle filter and an extended Kalman filter.
6) Quadricopter control algorithm within the area bounded by the ultrasonic signal generators without prior knowledge of the position of the ultrasonic generators - wireless sensor nodes.
7) Database for automatic evaluation methods for determining position of wireless sensor nodes based on TDOA principle with associated reference data scenarios for the scientific community view to enforce new and proposed methods.
8) Obstacle avoidance simulation of motion of an autonomous drone.
9) Testing newly developed methods on a real system.
