Description of the research topic:

A high-risk pregnancy is one that threatens the health or life of the mother or her foetus or her neonate. 20% of pregnant women can be identified as "high risk" pregnancy, but nearly 50% of perinatal morbidity and mortality are associated with this group. The detection of these pregnancies, the screening of high-risk cases is the first step towards prevention, and often there are therapeutic options to reduce the risk of a fetus or newborn. The aim of our research is to investigate certain risk factors such as maternal age (under 18 years of age, over 40 years of age), assisted reproductive techniques, pregnancy-related health-damaging behaviors, and analysis of the effects of these factors on newborns.
