Description of the research topic:

Ventilation heterogeneity and ventilation/perfusion mismatch is crucial as it concerns the patient’s outcome and will fundamentally determine both the life expectation and quality of the individual patients’ and the efficiency of health care system. The program focuses on the assessment of these aspects of the respiratory system by assessing the lung mechanics, capnography indices and related vital parameters.
