Description of the research topic:
Microglial cells are the immune cells in the central nervous system; they are the basic regulators of the inflammatory mechanism visible after the tissue damage. They have extremely central role in the inflammation in the neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer- or Parkinson disease. The molecular background of these inflammatory regulatory roles could be examined in cell cultures in more details.
