Description of the research topic:
Smoking is the most important risk factor for chronic diseases (circulatory diseases, tumors, respiratory illnesses, etc.). There is a need for comprehensive measures to stop smoking epidemic, some of which are linked to statutory regulations and typically applied on the population level. On the other hand, it means individual interventions, most of which support smoking cessation, with a decisive role for healthcare workers. The aim of the research is to explore knowledge, attitudes and practices related to cessation support at various settings of healthcare.
