Description of the research topic:
Early detection and adequate treatment of infections are critical for successful outcome for patients with systemic infections. Bloodstream infections caused by Enterobacteriaceae are more common than those caused by Staphylococcus aureus. ESBLs strains are resist anti-microbial medications using Beta-Lactam antibiotics. Real-time PCR investigations offer the fastest diagnostic method for the identification of the infections and for the recognition of the ESBL mutants.
