Description of the research topic:

The topic deals with the localization processes ongoing in different parts of the world. The appreciation of local endogenous resources spreads all over the world, however, the public administration system and the political system of several countries mean an obstacle in the bottom-up approaches in spatial policies. In the framework of this topic, the student may examine the country-specific characteristics of countries in relation with the spatial development to find the suitable solutions for efficient policy measures to moderate the gap between urban and rural areas. Since agriculture and food industry are dominant in most of the rural areas, such topics are also relevant in the research.
