Description of the research topic:

This topic deals with the theories of the relationship of capitalism and democracy in order to gain conceptual tools for the understanding of postsocialist democratic backsliding. It involves the analysis of capitalism, democracy and their relationship and the examination of the socialist system and its transformation, with the aim to understand the causal link between this pattern and the regression of democratic capitalism
